Although most Gazers presently appear to move and transform very slowly, how would we come to appreciate this living artwork if it were allowed to run uninterrupted while a screenshot is snapped daily over the last year? The result are these experimental timelapse videos, realized on the occasion of the exhibition Not Only RGB at MoCDA – Museum of Contemporary Digital Art to capture the volatility of each moon’s evolutions. Featured in the exhibition are the stills from twelve Gazers, each tied to a different “origin moon” trait. For the duration of Not Only RGB, three new timelapse videos will be released each month until the exhibition’s close January 28, 2023.
